 Music by and about émigrés

We start with Leonard Bernstein's lively overture to Candide (who is constantly changing country) as a prelude to welcoming prize-winning Essex double bass soloist Matthew Paris to play Serge Koussevitsky's double bass concerto.

We then continue the broad theme of émigrés with more music from screen and stage, including:

Where Eagles Dare
Once Upon a Time in America
My Fair Lady
The Magnificent Seven
Raging Bull
The World at War
The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey
The Jungle Book
