Become a Member of BPO
Like many orchestras, BPO is always evolving and our pool of players continually changes. We always welcome new players, particularly strings, but also wind and brass.String section players would normally be of a standard equivalent to ABRSM Grade 7 or above with some prior experience of orchestral playing required. Wind and brass players would need to be Grade 8 or above.
We do not hold auditions, but instead the section leaders would normally invite new players to join a rehearsal and meet the section.
The subscription for players is £30 per concert. and half price for those on benefits. No subscriptsions are payable for Under-25's,and Full Time Students. New players also do not pay for their first BPO concert.
For UK tax payers, subscriptions are eligible for GiftAid.
