Christopher Weston

Christopher Weston studied at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Clare College, Cambridge. He made his debut in 1996 in the London premiere of Phillip Marshall's Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra at the Barbican Hall in London. Christopher studied prprivately with Philip Fowke and currently is a postgraduate student at the Royal College of Music where he studies with John Blakely.

Christopher has been invited to perform at Kettle’s Yard and West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge; St. John’s, Smith Square, Trafalgar Studios, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and The Barbican, London; and the Bartok Concert Hall and Municipal Concert Hall, Hungary. His CD recordings of the staple classical piano repertoire now feature regularly on BBC TV and radio broadcasts.

Forthcoming performances include recitals at the Felsted Arts Festival, Chelmsford’s Cramphorn theatre and Maldon’s Festival of the Arts. During the summer of 2011 Christopher will be spending time in the studio, recording Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Schumann’s ‘Liederkreis’ and ‘Dichterliebe’ song cycles (with the baritone Colin Baldy).
