Katherine O'Hanlon

Katherine has been a chorister since she was 8, Singing with both Brentwood Cathedral and, following Covid, Chelmsford Cathedral.  She studies with Julia Wilson-James and has won Chelmsford Rotary Young Musician of the Year 2023. 

 

Kate made her debut at the age of 11 with Hutton and Shenfield Choral Society in 2021 singing Faure’s Requiem: Pie Jesu; and went on to sing it with the RSCM in Waltham Abbey Church in 2022. She sings solo for Hutton and Shenfield Choral Society regularly, most recently at their Christmas Extravaganza in the Brentwood Centre and earlier in 2023 in Mendelssohn: Hear My Prayer and then with Brentwood Cathedral Choir in 2023.

 

She has sung with Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra and with Brentwood Choral Society in Karl Jenkins ‘Peacemakers’.  She has also sung  Lord of the Rings Orchestral Suite: In Dreams for Brentwood’s Phoenix Youth Orchestra and Essex Young People’s Orchestra.
